OUR CHURCH
The Oromo Evangelical Lutheran Church (OELC) was founded in March 2013 as a result of a conflict that began in Oromo Evangelical Church towards the beginning of 2012. The OELC is an ELCA congregation and adopted constitution/bylaws based on ELCA model constitution.
The OELC confesses the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In our preaching and teaching our church trusts the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe.
We believe and teach that marriage is a sacred institution of a union created by God between a man and a woman only.
