Mission Statement

 

 

Matthew 28:19-20: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. Oromo Evangelical Lutheran Church is called to proclaim the Gospel of Christ and the beliefs of the evangelical Christian faith, to maintain the worship of God, and to inspire in all persons a love for Christ, a passion for righteousness, and a con-sciousness of their duties to God and their fellow human beings. We pledge our lives to Christ and covenant with each other to demonstrate His Spirit through worship, witnessing, and ministry to the needs of the people of this church and the community.

Our vision is to be a church that is spiritually matured with steady spiritual growth of members built on the body of Christ through its ministries.

Our mission is to follow and make followers of Christ, proclaim God’s love through word and sacrament, serving one another and the larger community.
